It’s finally bluebonnet season! Well, bluebonnet propagation season that is.

Texas bluebonnets are annual plants, meaning they go from seed to flower to seed in one year. They germinate in the fall and grow throughout the winter, usually blooming around the end of March to mid-May. This makes fall the best season for planting bluebonnet seeds.

Join Horticulturist Amy MedIey in this informative class to learn the best techniques for bluebonnet seed preparation, germination methods and which companion plants are best for bluebonnets. Participants will even have the opportunity to help us seed the gardens in preparation for this spring. Get prepared now to care for your seedlings this fall for successful blooms in the spring!

This class is open to adults of all ages. No prior experience is necessary.
