Description: Kettle Moraine Landscaping grew out of common interest in natural ecosystems & re-establishing native plant communities. Over the years, we have continued to learn about the ecology of native plants, and have refined our planting & management techniques. For example: improved seed mixes to maximize the establishment of diverse species, and more closely mimic the native communities to which they belong. We produce only seeds. In order to preserve local ecotypes we only sell within the range where it was collected. This also allows us to provide personal consulting services to close customers. Our seed is collected from nursery plots originally planted with seed originating from natural areas, roadsides & private lands, all with permission. We continue to add new species each year. In order to preserve local ecotypes (the genetic variety originally occuring in this area), we only sell within the range in which it was collected - within 75 miles of our nursery.
