Abstract
This meeting abstract evaluates self-incompatiblity in Clethra alnifolia. Germination of both self- and cross-pollinated seed was too low to compare germination rates. Self-pollination of two cultivars produced fewer seeds than cross-pollination. The abstract suggests a late acting self-incompatibility system or early acting inbreeding depression.Suggested Citation
