Large colony of scattered plants. Among Poaceae & other herbs in a glade.
Description:
Erect, single-stalk, 55 cm tall, biennial from deep taproot w/ring of fiberous roots near surface. Leaves oblanceolate, auricled/clasping, sharply pinnately lobed, these w/spiney, irregular teeth. Involucre ebracteate, 3 x 2 cm in flower, expanding in fruit, broader than tall. Disk Pink-lavender.
