Description:
Perennial from semi-woody taproot; much branched from base. Stems decumbent, viscid-puberulent. Branches stout, 1-4 dm long. Leaves opposite, petioled (1-8 cm); blades broadly oval to ovate-deltoid, 4-9 cm x 6-55 mm, usually unequal, sinuate, thick/slightly fleshy, viscid-villous. Flowers perfect, in clusters of 8-15, deep-red, funnel-form.
