Dry, alkaline soil; full sun; single plant; scattered, scarce.
Description:
Perennial from thick, semi-woody taproot. Many stout, trailing banches to 40 cm long. Leaves opposite, petiolate (to 15 mm), oval to ovate to narrowly deltoid (30+ mm wide x 60+ mm long), decurrent, crispate, viscid. Infloresence long peduncled (10 cm), clustered (8-15), perianth funnelform (20 mm), flaring to 10-14 mm dia, red/orange-red. Stamens 12 mm, exserted.
