Description:
Much branched shrub about 1 m tall. Leaves ovate, acute apically, to 3 x 6 cm, opposite or fascicled, petiolate, medium-green above, yellow-green below. Peduncles to 3 cm, slender, mostly single in axils, recurved at maturity. Corolla white; ovary superior. Fruit an ovate berry, red at maturity, pungent. Seeds--many.
