Gardens On Tour 2012

Our next garden tour will be on Saturday, May 12, 2012 and we are looking for potential gardens for the tour.  Please fill out the form below if you have or know of a garden that would be a good match. Each year the center hosts a self-guided tour of private gardens in the Austin area. To see photos, descriptions, and plant lists from the spring 2011 tour, go to:  Gardens on Tour 2011.

Garden Criteria:

  • Must prominently feature native Texas plants and support our mission to increase the sustainable use and conservation of native wildflowers, plants, and landscapes. Gardens do NOT need to be all native, just a good percentage.
  • Must not use problematic invasive species as a significant design component (such as Vitex, Nandina, Ligustrum, Hall's or Japanese honeysuckle, see the Austin Grown Green Guide for a more comprehensive list).
  • Must be well designed, (professionally or by home owner) of course.
  • Should be within 10 miles of downtown Austin.
