The Texas Mixed Border celebrates the versatility of native Texas plants, showing off contrasting colors, forms and textures.
The Texas Mixed Border is an all-season garden, with bluebonnets in the spring followed by white-flowered Jimsonweed. Giant buttercups will bloom in winter after white Plumbago has stopped flowering. Sheared dwarf yaupon hollies and tightly clipped cenizo will define the main axis among relaxed and lively drift plantings.
A Texas wisteria–laden arbor will invite visitors into the the garden where a bistro table and chairs awaits those who want to enjoy the garden with its birdbath and platform for art.
