Title: Bluebonnets and Texas
Answered by: Sage Kawecki

QUESTION:

Can I plant Bluebonnets outside of Texas?

ANSWER:

The Bluebonnet is the state flower of Texas, and is a Lupine species that is endemic (native) only to Texas. We do not recommend the planting of any species outside of its natural distribution range. There are beautiful Lupines native to most regions. To find out if there is a Lupine suitable to your region, search for the genus Lupinus in our Native Plants Database.
