The City of Austin, Invasive Species Management Plan can be found at: http://www.austintexas.gov/department/austin-invasive-plants-management
City and Center staff participated in introducing the Plan to 2011 Texas Invasive Plant and Pest Council Panel Discussion, a community of professionals who manage invasive species across the state. A video of that panel discussion is available for viewing at: http://www.youtube.com/user/wildflowercenter?feature=watch.
This plan outlines goals and actions critical to protecting Austin’s natural resources. Although it may not be possible to prevent every invasive species from entering the city or to eradicate all those already present, this plan will aid the City in preserving its unique landscape.
